Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled expedition as Adventure Bike Fest, in collaboration with Mouton van Zyl’s MotoAdventures, invites you to an unforgettable experience in the heart  of the Karoo at Karoo62. From September 5th to 8th, 2024, join fellow  adventure enthusiasts for a thrilling celebration of all things  two-wheeled and off-road.

Where the Adventure Begins: Karoo62

Nestled in the scenic landscapes of the Karoo, Karoo62 provides the  perfect backdrop for an epic biking adventure. The rugged hills, vast  open spaces, and winding trails await, promising an exhilarating ride  for every adventure bike enthusiast.

Ride, Explore, Conquer

Adventure Bike Fest is not just an event; it’s an opportunity to  embrace the freedom of the open road. Bring your adventure motorcycle  and join fellow riders as you navigate the challenging terrains of the  Karoo hills. Whether you’re a seasoned rider seeking an adrenaline rush  or a novice looking to hone your skills, this event caters to riders of  all levels.

Event Highlights:

• Guided Rides: Led by experienced riders from MotoAdventures, explore hidden gems and conquer the untamed trails of the Karoo.
• Scenic Camping: Experience the true spirit of  adventure by camping under the starlit Karoo sky. Swap stories around  the campfire and forge lasting connections with fellow riders.
• Food, Music, and More: Enjoy delicious local cuisine, live music, and a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates the camaraderie of the biking community.

Ride Breakdown:

Short Ride (Approx. 150km):

Start at Karoo62 venue, travel through Ladismith. Gravel road to Laignsburg with a stop at Karoo Plaas (approx. 30km). Light lunch featuring sausage rolls and drinks. Continue straight through to Seweweekspoort, returning to Karoo62 venue.

Medium Ride (Approx. 250km):

Begin at Karoo62 venue, pass through Ladismith. Turn off after Ronnie’s Sex Shop, guided tour in Sonbona Wildlife Reserve. Exit reserve towards Touwsriver, turn right onto Blou Toring road to Hempies du Toit turnoff. Head to Padde and Witteberge towards Laingsburg. Take the road through Seweweekspoort back to Karoo62 venue.

Longer Ride (Approx. 350km):

Depart from Karoo62 venue towards Calitzdorp. Follow Groenfontein gravel road to Swartberge, turning off before Swartberge to Oudtshoorn. Take the back road to Vanwyksdorp and return to Karoo62.
